Consultation
leading to race day. Because our system is required to deliver
results to the race director we must open a conversation to
determine the best possible techniques for measuring the results.
Questions from both parties can be answered well in advance of the
actual event and can limit the disorder before the event.
Planning on both ends make the event better for all concerned
including the participants.
-
Verbiage for use
of the chip. The method used to fasten the timing chip to the
athlete is different for each event. Our instructions will tell
the athlete how and where to fasten the timing chip. With the
timing chip properly placed, individual results can be accurate
and precise.
-
Timing Chip
issue to participants. The coordination and sequential delivery of
the chips to the athletes is critical for proper results.
Normally timing chips are delivered to limit the chances of lost
chips and reduce the liability of the race director. Some
situations require that the chips be issued well in advance and in
other instances the timing chips are issued sequential to the
start.
-
Identification
station for athlete to verify bib/chip assignment. Athletes need
confirmation that the bib and timing chip are both assigned
properly. We have the equipment and software to allow athletes to
verify the bib and timing chip correspond. This is a peace of
mind check and an essential step in obtaining proper results.
-
Instruction to
volunteers at finish line for bib collection. Timing chip
collection is simple yet requires attention. The method used for
each event can vary and this is an accounting system routine to
reconcile the chips issued and the chips returned. Since there is
a cost associated with the lost timing chips, good responsible
volunteers are needed to perform this task.

Printed results:
There is nothing like reading your name posted on a billboard
along with fellow competitors within a reasonable time following
event completion. Long delays are a thing of the past. This
system can literally deliver preliminary results within moments of
the final finisher. No more age group buckets, piles of bib tabs,
long finish lines chutes or hours of result tabulation.
-
Posted results
on a prearranged website (e-file in HTML format for race webmaster
use). We the capability to instantly post event results on the
internet following official notice of the finalized information.
Preliminary results are not posted however live updates on certain
events can be posted as events progress.
-
Copy of timing
chip accountability audit to race director. Since the race
director is ultimately responsible for the unaccounted timing
chips it is necessary for us to provide a database of
accountability. We have no billing agreement with the athletes,
therefore the event is accountable for the timing chips we
provide. The event may then bill the competitor for the lost chip
based on the event policies. Our lost chip policy requires a
standard of $30 per chip lost.
-
Set up and
removal of electronic timing equipment. Due to the nature of the
equipment, our trained staff will be the only individuals handling
our equipment. Neither event volunteers are required to assist in
the neither set up nor removal of the timing equipment. Locations
and service required for the timing system will be provided by the
event.
