The
Small Texan is a special international distance
race. Swim in a clear refreshing lake, bike a course
that will provide you with the opportunity to master
all terrains and do a run that you won't even
believe you did! "Texan" style awards to be given
out after the last athlete comes back. Meal is
included after the race. This event will close at
300 athletes |

USAT Sanctioned event. Swim 800m in
Boerne Lake, bike a 45K loop course on flat to rolling terrain and
run a 10K out and back on dirt and asphalt. There are 3 support
stations on the bike course and support every mile on the run
course. Course maps are posted on
this website.

Award ceremony will start about 1:00 or after the
last runner returns. Awards go to the top three in
each age group male & female, top three Clydesdale,
top relay in each category, and a special award to
the overall male and female. Must be present to
receive. Results will be posted on our website. |

You
may pick up the race packet or register in person on Friday, July 25th
from 4-7 or on Saturday, July 26th from 11-7 at Britton's Bicycle Shop
(16636 US Hwy 281N, San Antonio). Only those registering before July
14th will be guaranteed to receive t-shirts. You must personally pickup
your own packet, show a photo ID, show your USAT membership card or
purchase a one day permit ($10.00) in order to receive your race number
& athlete race instructions. No refunds and no late fees. ONLY
annual USAT members are eligible to pay a $20.00 convenience fee in
order to pick-up your packet on race day morning. Athlete's brunch is
included in registration fee. Meal bracelets will be available at
registration for $2.00 for those traveling with you. On race day the
price will be $3.00.

rules state that each participant must pick up their own packet and
show a photo ID. A current annual membership must be shown at this time
OR a 1-day permit must be purchased for $10.00 cash or check.

Please note that all USAT
rules will be in effect for this event. Bicycle
helmets are mandatory. Drafting is not allowed.
You the rider, however, are
ultimately responsible for your own safety - we encourage you
to know the course, ride safely and follow the rules - not only of the event
but of the road. Remember - this is an open road event -
obey all traffic laws. |

You will be issued a "Championchip" and a velco strap. Your net time will be
recorded with the computer chip that is wrapped around your ankle with a velco
strap. Chip issue is the morning of the race at the entrance to the transition
area. You must wear the chip to be timed and scored. The chips will be retrieved
in the chutes just past the finish line after the race. If you do not start the
race or you drop out, we ask you to return the chip to the tent located at the
finish line. AND yes this year and forever more we will have a backup for
technology!!
