From the very start of Torelli, over fifteen years ago, it was
their desire
to find, develop, and distribute the finest racing frames in the world, and do
this for the lowest possible price.
Torelli's approach isn't the usual one. As
active riders and racers, they believe that it is vital to look at all the
characteristics of the frame that make a bike stable, efficient, fast,
comfortable, and nimble. The tendency to focus on one aspect of a bike, for
example, light weight, to the exclusion of everything else, will lead the
builder and the buyer to make bad choices.
Torelli's
frames come from Italy. Obviously we all know that good frames come from elsewhere, but
only in Italy is there a culture that brings together professional racers,
builders, coaches, component manufacturers, and raw material suppliers in one
reactor, with all the carbon rods pulled out for a glorious chain reaction of
brilliant design. There are other reasons to have a racing bike made in Italy.
It is there one finds workmen that can build a fine frameset with skill and speed.
These skills are rare outside of Italy, hence, Italian frames are an excellent
value because of the efficiency skilled, experienced workmen bring to a shop
floor. |
